Acrobatics Workshops

Hakuna Matata Acrobats are available to teach fun workshops for children as well as adults. Ideally we would ask for a minimum age of about 6 years, though we have worked with younger kids in the past. Skills taught in the workshops range from basic tumbling to rope skipping, hat juggling and some pyramid building. We also find that Limbo is always a hit with the kids.

We offer various different types of workshops:

  • Once off workshops: can last from a few hours to a full day/weekend.
  • Ongoing workshops: a regular session once a week spread over a few weeks. Suited for example for school projects. These include the possibility of putting on a performance to allow the kids to show off their newly learnt skills.
  • Permanent training: one or more regular sessions a week on a permanent basis. Suited for example for dance schools or other sports groups who would like to add acrobatic skills to their repertoire.
If you are interested in booking us for a workshop contact us and we will create a workshop to suit your needs.

Past Workshops include: Kilkenny Community Early Years Project (once off), BEAM Centre, Bagenalstown (once off), 'Intercultural Education through the Arts' - National Schools Programme (ongoing workshop for the duration of 2 months), Donna's Dance School (permanent training session once a week), Firkin Crane (acrobatics classes for adults) and workshops at various festivals in Ireland and abroad.
